Essential Functions:
  • Load, pack and unload items with care.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work as part of a team in order to complete various tasks and assignments
  • Wrap furniture in protective material.
  • Ensure that no items are damaged while moving.
  • Place furniture in the requested positions at the new location.
  • Take inventory of items and ensure that no items are lost during transportation.
  • You must have a clean driving abstract and also live and be legally able to work in Toronto, ON.
  • Experience with moving and how to load the truck is preferred.
  • Most duties relate to driving and loading/unloading trucks with both residential and commercial goods.
  • Conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting any problem
  • This is a physical job, requiring standing, walking, squatting, bending, reaching, and handling materials.
  • Must have the ability to work in all Toronto, ON weather conditions.
Requirements:
  • Valid Work Permit, Permanent Residency or Canadian Passport
  • A valid G driving license with clean abstract
  • Experience driving a truck
  • A positive and hard-working attitude
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Available to work on weekends
  • Able to commute to our storage around the Scarborough area
  • Must be physically able to lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs
  • Use of hands and fingers to handle tools, controls, etc. as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Find business opportunities to achieve sales and profit objectives
  • Contacts current and prospective clients to identify their need for existing and new products
  • Investigate, research, and look for information that will lead to a successful sales strategy and business development
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads
  • Establish professional relationships with key personnel in companies accounts
  • Understanding the operations side of the business to ensure there is a good match with the customer’s needs and the services we provide.
  • Achieve growth goals assigned through cold calling, customer meetings and customer presentations.
  • Ensure the selling methods and behaviours are consistent with the company’s expectations and are sufficient to achieve the objectives established.
  • Communicate client expectations to team members and manage integration at the operational level until service and cost deliverables are met.
  • Ensure the resources of the company are utilized effectively to ensure all clients receive the same high standard of service.
  • Provides pricing quotations and follows up on quotes
  • Utilize customer feedback to identify areas of opportunity to improve account management performance and build and execute action plans to meet expectations.
  • Builds strong relationships for repeat opportunities

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with Sales and Business Development
  • Experience with designing and implementing a business development strategy.
  • Self-motivated, with experience working to and exceeding targets within a remote team network.
  • Highly professional approach to business and communication skills (spoken, written and comprehension);
  • Proven ability to negotiate and influence.
  • Operational experience within the logistics-based transportation industry is an asset.
  • Ability to develop long-term client relationships.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and own vehicle. (preferred)
  • Visit clients and do quotes regularly.
  • Exceptional organization skills, ability to multitask and a keen eye for detail.
